Bhagalpuri Tassar Silk Sari: Bhagalpuri silk got its name from a small town located on the banks of the river Ganga in Bihar state called Bhagalpur. Silk weaving is an age-old tradition in the city. The yarns are weaved with silk threads of multi colours which are reared from the Tussar cocoons. The ‘Queen of all fabrics’, Bhagalpuri silk springs out from the essence of nature. The yarns woven in unique and symbolic designs give Bhagalpuri tassar silk a brilliant texture and feel.
